You remind me of the Three Great Premises from Charles Pierce’s Idiot America:
1. Any theory is valid if it moves units.
2. Anything can be true if someone says it loudly enough.
3. Fact is that which enough people believe. Truth is measured by how fervently they believe it.
Santa Claus is not a fact. The Easter Bunny is not a fact. The Tooth Fairy is not a fact. And you can flourish all you want, but the Benevolent Father in the Sky is not a fact.
