What makes you think it does? The universe was not created by an Old Man in the Sky. It doesn’t have a conscious, humanlike mind. It doesn’t have wishes and desires and plans and purposes. No, it doesn’t care what we do or how we treat each other; those are things we care about. Murder or feeding a starving child matters to us, not to the source of being.

What makes you believe it does?

We are not “in” temporary bodies; we are those bodies. That’s all we are: temporary creatures, here today, gone tomorrow. What makes you think otherwise? Face reality.
