No. Nature goes to no trouble at all. Certainly it is astonishing (to us) that nature should have produced such as we. But the astonishment is an artifact of our parochial human point of view. Nature just goes blithely along, like the Fool in the tarot deck. To “go to trouble” implies a purpose, and nature has none. Nature simply is. That’s why it’s called “existentialism.”
