No, it will not. The trouble with percolators is that they depend on the water boiling up through the center shaft in order to percolate back down through the grounds. Temperatures that high scorch the grounds and make the brew taste bitter, which is why people used to dump in spoonfuls of sugar to make the stuff palatable. The ideal temperature for brewing coffee is about 190°–200° F (85°–95° C), which is what a good drip coffee maker delivers.
