If and when it comes to violent suppression as you foresee, those “marginalized groups” will fight back. The neo-Nazi militias aren’t the only ones with guns. I have said elsewhere that the coming civil collapse is likely to devolve into a three-sided conflict, Red vs. Blue vs. Black.

A few months back, I posted a comment to this effect to one of the New York Times comment threads on some article or other. Comments in the Times are moderated; you get back a message saying your comment is awaiting approval and you will be notified by e-mail when it’s posted. Ordinarily the notice arrives within about 30–60 minutes. This time, nothing. No “your comment has been rejected,” let alone giving a reason or an opportunity to revise. Just crickets. Apparently the august New York Times didn’t consider this particular thought fit to print.

Nevertheless, I hold to the prediction. Continued/heightened right-wing repression will lead to race war, with the rationalist, peace-and-civility-loving Blues (like me) caught in the middle. Very rocky times are ahead.
