And another thing: Put down the damn phone while you’re crossing the street. Don’t make me sit and wait for you to amble across while scrolling through your Twitter feed. Pick your eyes up off your little screen and be where you are.
These smartphones are a great technological advance and I’m glad we have them, but the social etiquette that has grown up around them is all wrong. A good start would be to only use your phone while sitting down. Not walking down the street, not in the elevator (sorry, lift), and especially not while crossing the street. And of course never while driving.
